Welcome to St. Joseph’s English Medium School

Established in 2005 under the Catholic Diocese of Asansol, St. Joseph’s English Medium School, Katwa, is a co-educational institution affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. Our motto, “From Darkness to Light”, reflects our mission to form enlightened citizens of tomorrow through holistic education — in thought, word, and action.

We are delighted to introduce St. Joseph’s English Medium School, Katwa, to you. The school is a progressive child-centered, co-educational institution committed to providing quality and holistic education for all our students.

The school, founded in 2005, has established a reputation for its academic excellence and caring environment. At St. Joseph’s English Medium School, the learning process is both thought-provoking and enjoyable. Our students are encouraged to develop sound ethical values. Kindness, respect, and politeness are instilled within a safe and nurturing environment. Our aim is to develop students who are aware, socially responsible, and creative with good self-management and interactive skills.

As the Principal of the school, I feel honoured and privileged to be part of an educational institution where every stakeholder is a learner and every day is an opportunity to learn and discover. We look at ourselves as a community of learners, where everyone learns including our teachers, parents, and staff.
