St. Joseph’s English Medium School was founded in 2005 under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Lawrence Pinto to uplift the local Santhal community through quality education. The school is managed by the Catholic Diocese of Asansol and recognized as a Minority Educational Institution by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (F.No. 451 of 2007).

The school received its NOC in 2015, Provisional Affiliation in 2016, Permanent Affiliation in 2024, and ISC Affiliation in 2025. It now stands as a full-fledged ICSE & ISC school focusing on intellectual, moral, and spiritual formation.
